BUT BEWARE. THIS IS THE SECOND ONE OF THESE I'VE PURCHASED. THE FIRST ONE "PREVIOUS PURCHASE" GAVE OUT AFTER LESS THAN 6 MONTHS USAGE. "IT CEASED/STOPPED PUMPING" THERE'S SOMETHING THAT THE DESINGERS/ENGINEERS ARE NOT TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION AND THAT IS: THE MATERIALS USED IN THE "SUCTION CUP CONFIGURATION OF THE PUMP, SHOULD BE RESISTANT TO THE DETERGENT'S ABILITY TO ATTACK THE MATERIALS THAT MAKE UP THE PUMP. I'LL BE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED IF THIS GIVES ME MORE "SERVICE LIFE" THAN THE FIRST ONE IF PURCHASED LESS THAN A YEAR AGO. IT APPREARS TO BE SAME OLE, SAME OLE. LIFE EXPECTANCY IS A MAJOR CONCERN.Looks nice, push it down, and soap comes out. That's half the battle. The problem, the pump won't 'pop back up' to be ready for another squirt of soap. So you have to pull it apart and pull the pump mechanism up manually.I tried it empty and it returns fine. It even seems to work with water in it. But it's a soap dispenser. Dish soap seems too thick for it. I tried watering down the dish soap-- but it doesn't help. Anything thicker than water, and it just doesn't work.Three weeks after I received this, it barely dispenses the liquid soap. It matches the original, but that's as good as it gets.Unless you're locked into the design, get another brushed nickel model. It dispenses soap so it's a keeper. Wish the nickel was a little more brushed. A little bit shinier than I expected.Hurry! and purchase your dispenser that matches your faucet before it's gone. You cannot find replacement dispensers in any stores.Thank god for amazon.combought two months ago and already broken--will not pump soap out.I have to agree with others. This soap dispenser is beautiful in looks and material. But it just doesn't work. I made a warranty claim and they were nice enough to send me a replacement, but it just doesn't work very well at all. It is the correct match for my faucet, but I have grown tired of dealing with it.I recently installed this item on a recently remodeled kitchen. Looks good but it won't dispense soap.Only a few drops on the first pump, one drop on the second pump then nothing. I don't get. How can you design a kitchen soap dispenser that does't dispense soap?
