It arrived in good condition, but the actual piece was a bit smaller than it appeared in the picture online.I was very surprised that no one reviewed this item. I got this product for my dad who loves eagles and also collects all things eagle related. This particular product did not ship right away but I did contact amazon and they fixed it right away. They shipped it and the product got here right before Christmas. Now for the Eagle I did not spend too much time with it because its for my dad not me. The packaging was very good and it helps the Eagle not chip or break. I can tell they spent alot of time detailing this eagle and crafting this to perfection. If you want this Bald Eagle statue or you stumble on this one buy it because I promise you that you get your moneys worth.Got this as a birthday gift for my mother the Eagle lover. She absolutely loves it as it is unlike any of the other Eagles in her collection. The sculpture has a nice wood tone to it and looks as if it is carved from solid wood. It's actually quite a bit larger than I thought it was going to be by looking at the pictures on Amazon. Sadly, I am going to be hard pressed to top myself for this year's birthday present!Would have been 5 stars but I just noticed the eagle has only one foot and I think it's too late to exchange it. Oh, also, the base is not sturdy at all.Beautifully crafted...is on a shelf in my half bath as the bathroom already had an eagle border around the half bath. My 2 local grandsons also had done eagle pictures for me, so the statue goes well with their pictures...ironic that the grandsons gave me the eagle handdrawn pictures the Christmas before I moved into the house!Very nice quality. Better than expected.Looks like it was really carved from real wood. It was also larger than I expected, very decently sized. I bought this as a gift for my father and he loved it.This Eagle really looks like it is carved out of wood. The detail on this piece is extraordinary! My daughter gave it to my grandson for his Eagle collection for Christmas. I was going to put it back in its box for protection but he wouldn't let me. He kept holding it a gazing at its beauty.This really is a nice piece that garners regular compliments at the office for its uniqueness. I was concerned that it would be unstable, but sits steadily on a cabinet where doors are opened and shut multiple times per day.
