Don't listen to most here on the assembly instructions... It's rather quite easy to assemble. With a small amount of time, PATIENCE, an ability to read, & look at pictures ?? Get organized, take ALL the pieces out FIRST, take your time, follow the basically simple instructions and diagrams/photos. It isn't a race, and you'll be fine. I was being very careful with all the parts and pieces. I was ONLY disappointed with ( see pics ) the wood chippies. Clearly I didn't do any of THAT... I then then questioned how would this look after a few years of hard/general use ? The twist and turn lock things, CAREFUL, IF & WHEN you tighten those, DON'T go a little extra, they'll sound like their going to SNAP apart in there. ( Be careful, No need to Hulk Hogan em ) I've raised 5 kids, their all gone and grown. But if they were still around, Now only grands every so often ?, this unit WOULD NOT be looking the same from that type of daily usage !!! The hinges, and roller systems seem eh okay. . I didn't want to use the supplied casters. I'm used the stationary "Feet" SO, ALSO, once fully assembled and complete, DO NOT try to lift by, and maneuver the unit into place wherever your putting it by ONLY lifting and shifting it around by just the TOP ??? I did, and I inadvertently yanked the top hold down screws nearly right out & off ??? The Top WILL will go back down, into place, and sit flush into the holes... phewwww ? You'll see what I mean, once you get to that point. Still looks fine afterwards... However DON'T Do that !!! Overall, I'm satisfied... freed up my relatively small kitchen, for pots, pans, utensils and other stuff, and can sit at it, and have a meal ???Great island, looks awesome in our kitchen. The stainless scratches a little easy and it did have a weird chemical smell when first assembled. But after a few days the smell dissipated. A little expensive for the quality but the size is right. My wife and I have a small kitchen area and we just wanted something that would give us just a little more much needed counter space and some additional storage space. This product easily satisfies these 2 conditions and at the same times adds much beauty to the kitchen. Our home is only a 1600 square foot home and again we felt we just needed something a little additional. As far as the assembly goes, I did this after having a couple of surgeries slowly, but very carefully. The booklet that comes with all the parts neatly packed is excellent with pictures of exactly how to assemble everything. I recommend forget how fast you can do something and just go about it the right way with patience and knowing in the long run, you will have exactly what you ordered. Again, I had in my frame of mind, to take my time and do it right especially after a few major surgeries. Yes, I may have spent an additional hour or so longer than other reviews here due to breaks, etc. but I am very, very pleased as so is my wife with this product. No qualms whatsoever folks.. NONE. YOU WILL ENJOY YOUR NEW PIECE OF FURNITURE SOON..One thing I should of mentioned is probably it would be better if you had a good Allen wrench instead of the one provided for recessed areas. Other than that one fault, the product is just great..I love this island! It went together very well. It is beautiful, has plenty of storage. I definitely would recommend this.I LIKE THE END PRODUCT! ALTHOUGH IT'S SMALLER THAN I WANTED. MATCHES MY RED OAK CABINETS ALMOST EXACTLY! BUT...... IT SHIPS SEPARATELY FROM THE GRANITE TOP. GRANITE TOP ARRIVED 11 DAYS LATER AND IT WAS BROKEN IN HALF. CONTACTED CROSELYS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AFTER SENDING A PHOTO OF BROKEN GRANITE TOP, THEY SHIPPED ME A NEW ONE. ARRIVED 12 DAYS LATER. I WILL GIVE CROSLEY CUSTOMER SERVICE REP 5 STARS! TOOK CARE OF BUSINESS! I WOULD RECOMMEND THEY PUBLISH THE DEMENTIONS OF UNIT.Went together fairly easy. Some of the holes that required barrel but with bolt were not drilled straight. Wasted about 35 minutes trying to attach side panel to base before I figured out that was the problem. Had to drill out hole for bolt and barrel but to connect. Also back panel had pretty long scratch from factory that was colored over with stain marker. Didn't notice during assembly but once I got it in kitchen and sunlight hit it, it stands out like a sore thumb. For the price they could have done a better job to cover the scratch. All in all its a nice island. Wife likes it and that's what matters.Nice piece. We like it a lot. Shade of gray is also very nice with the black top. Manufacturer should provide a tube or small container of touch up paint with the unit, and also should provide some wood glue to dab onto the biscuits or alignment pins. Took me about 4-1/2 hours to assemble carefully, no problems during assembly. .The overall product is great. We set up with the feet, instead of the casters, and this thing is solid. With the granite top and cupboards and drawers full, it does not move without some good effort. At least one houseguest commented that it looked like it came with (built-in) the kitchen. All construction is quality and things like drawer hardware don't disappoint. Now, the reasons I could not give it more than four stars: By biggest beef is over a big (4" x 6"?) sticker on the "backside." Of course, it is an island, so there is no true backside; it is just opposite the doors & drawers. Of us, it is the side we see first when we enter the kitchen. The sticker is some nonsense (IMO) about California health regulations. I'm in Michigan; don't care. Even if I was in CA; wouldn't care. But the real problem is that this huge sticker is not removable by any stretch of the imagination. We have tried every trick in the book short of solvents that will damage the stained wood and we still have sticker and adhesive. What were they thinking? Moving on, one note of assembly caution, when you are installing doors, MAKE SURE THEY ARE RIGHT SIDE UP! The hinge pins snap into the top and bottom via springs and if you don't get it right, you're !@#$%ed. Lastly, it would be nice if it came with hole plugs for the situation where one doesn't want to install the paper towel holder and/or the spice rack. All in all, I am happy with it; so close to awesome.Fantastic product. Shipping was a little confusing but it did arrive. Assembly wasn't too bad and didn't take too long at all. Think of it as IKEA - packet of screws, instructions etc. The top did arrive damaged, and was quickly replaced by the seller. Overall - fantastic product and great service.Excellent product, went together well. Some tracking delivery problems caused by border crossing. Very happy with finished productAmazing quality. Sturdy and Elegant. Immediately becoming a showpiece in my kitchen!I've had this piece now for almost a month and love it, it has everything I needed. The reason I did not give it a 5 star is because of the pieces at the ends, making it too long and somewhat chunky. I did not need them and believe most kitchens already have towel holders, etc. I left them out and it looks more sleek, however for those who need it, it's well done.A little time consuming to put together but instructions were quite clear and all the pieces were provided.
