I took a chance with this. I wasn't looking for cheap, I was looking for brushed nickel with a pull down sprayer and I really liked the looks of this. The price was a nice perk and also the fact that - and I am quoting from the description: "AVOLA WARRANTY:If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase of these faucet, simply let us know and you'll be offered a FULL refund or replacement. Enjoy this absolutely RISK FREE purchase today,Easy to be installed,5 Year Limited Warranty". It arrived exactly as purchased, nice looking and new. I did notice right away that the hot and cold hoses seemed short, but I hoped all would be well there. (This did not come with a three hole support, which is fine, but I wanted to mention that in case anyone wanted one for a three hole sink). It did come with adapters for a 1/2 supply connection which we did not need. Instllation was fairly simple, especially for me, since I was only assisting ;) My husband is not a plumber, but the instuctions were pretty cut and dried and installation seemed to go quite quickly and without a hitch until we needed to attach the hot and cold hoses. Like I suspected, the cold was too short. I am not sure if they are standard sized, but these seemed better suited for a bathroom installation. My husband had to purchase a $6 adapter at Home Depot to ensure a better fit. We turned on the water and everything went well, for about 4 minutes, then the handle started a steady drip. No leaking below the sink or anywhere else, just the handle. With the water still on we used the small hex key to remove the handle. (We placed our handle at the front instead of off to the side because of the placement of the backsplash on our counter, it would have hit it while in use). With the handle placement, we could easily see the drip and see that we could not have done anything to cause this. I fired off an email, they do not give a number, and 3 days later, I am still waiting for a response. I despise leaks and I HATE wasting water. The drip frequency would have wasted a few gallons a day. Since we were stuck with this faucet for the time being, we were forced to turn off the water when not in use until we heard from Avola or bought a new replacement. I did not hear from them at all the next day. Did I expect to? Absolutely!! Apparently, getting back promptly to customers with problems is not a priority. Before ordering another faucet, I took a chance and Googled faucet handle leaks. We learned how to take it apart, which was very easy by the way, and discovered that the rubber gasket inside the faucet handle was floating around and not secured in the proper place. Something that should have been detected had the unit been tested as they say all of their faucets are. Needless to say, we got lucky. Leak fixed! Whew, what a relief! Now we can enjoy it. And we do. The sprayer is powerful and works very well, it has a pause button which we don't use, not sure why that's needed. When you pull it down, it goes right back in and fits well without hanging. The brushed nickel is nice and easy to keep clean and the on/off handle works well now that we fixed it. Do I anticipate a long life for this faucet? I honestly don't know, but if I should need a replacement, I am not convinced they will honor it considering they can't even bother to answer an email. I will return to edit this if they should every get back to me or if it starts to fall apart.Edit: They contacted me on the fourth day, after I posted my review. She said she did not receive my email and asked me to resend it. I was given a phone number for any future concerns and an apology. Not great, but better than nothing at all!Edit #2: I was contacted again, (weeks later), and offered a refund of the part I purchased and an inquiry about my happiness with the faucet. Definitely didn't need to, but their customer service is as close to the best as you can get.Sturdy. Exceptional finish. Great functionality. Smooth rotation of spouts and valves. Excellent pressure from both spouts. More than pleased.Looks great, feels heavy and sturdy enough to give you that expensive high end feel. The only suggestion is to make the bar longer so it ends in the middle of the sink in lieu of at the back end. Otherwise we are pleased with this faucet and it looks great with our new black farm sink.Absolutely love this faucet! I was hesitant to purchase this after reading a few reviews. As always after deciding to purchase anyway I’m completely baffled at why people would say anything negative about this faucet. It’s beautiful, it’s powerful, and it’s practical. One reviewer stated you cannot wash dishes with this because the spray requires you hold the nozzle down the whole time and leaves you with only one hand. While it is true that the spray nozzle does not have buttons and you do indeed have to squeeze it to operate it, it’s just that, it’s a sprayer. There is a “pot filler” spout as well. The pot filler stays on continuously as long as you have it turned on. It has its own on-off valve. If your washing dishes and not simply rinsing them you just use the pot filler. It has just as much water pressure as the sprayer.I absolutely love the design and functionality of this faucet. On a side note I did have to order a separate deck plate cover since my sink has the three holes and this just has one. I read this in another review and ordered them at the same time.My husband did have to run to HD to get the correct connectors which did not come with the faucet. He had a mildly difficult time with installing the faucet and getting it tight enough to not spin. I’m not sure if that is the faucets fault or possibly he didn’t have the correct wrench. It took several hours for him to install when it should have been a quick process.I really love this faucet and I would have given it 5 stars, but today we noticed the finish coming off in several spots on the spout and also the drain, exposing a dark gray color below. We were shocked that it was already damaged as we are not a high use sort of kitchen. Sadly i'm feeling like the copper is just paint of some kind rather a colored metal. The faucet I ordered arrived on time and was well packaged. I was particularly impressed that the faucet itself was packed in a soft cloth bag to prevent the faucet from being scratched during shipping. I asked a friend who does plumbing as part of his job as a maintenance man to help with with the installation. He was very impressed with the quality of the faucet and the parts that came with the installation kit. It was his opinion that this faucet compared favorably with faucets that sold at much higher price points in retail stores. I priced a few new faucets in the stores and I have to agree with my friend. The installation went smoothly, however, I did need to purchase extensions for the water lines as the ones that were provided were too short to reach the connections under my sink. From reading the reviews I anticipated this and measured the length of the existing lines several days before I planned to install the faucet. This was due to my sink being set in a corner of my kitchen and about 20 inches away from the wall and required about 36 inches of line to make the connection. In a normal situation the connection lines that were included in the kit would have been sufficient. Along with the faucet, I also purchased a 3-hole cover plate and soap dispenser (from other sources), both in a brushed nickel finish. All three finishes matched perfectly. It is taking a little time to adjust from our old swivel faucet with the sprayer on the side to the high-arc faucet with the pull down sprayer but we are every happy with the change. The water pressure is higher with the new sprayer and it is much easier now to use to to rinse off pots and dishes and my wife is pleased with the new look.I don’t often write reviews but I have to for this faucet. Honestly the best kitchen faucet I’ve ever had. Easy to install. Lots of pressure. Beautiful.
