UPDATE 2 - I have no experience with the Moen U faucet with Alexa voice control but it seems to be a superior product. You can request water to be dispensed at a specific temperature and it has a companion app. After two years I still like my Delta faucet but if I was buying one today I think I might get Moen's faucet. I paid the price of being an early adopter and missed out on superior updates. Hopefully Delta can provide firmware/software updates to match Moen's feature set.UPDATE - After having this for one year, and having extensive experience with a no-touch faucet (where you just wave your hand to turn it on & off), I retract all of my criticisms of the touch operation of the faucet. With a little bit of practice, it is rare that I accidentally turn the water on or off. I believe the faucet is calibrated for .3 seconds, meaning if the touch is less than .3 seconds the water flow will turn on/off. But if the touch lasts more than .3 seconds the water will not turn on/off. It doesn't take long to get the hang of this and make sure your hand stays on the faucet just long enough not to inadvertently start or stop the water flow.In comparison, the no-touch faucets are slow and clunky. You have to place your hand in just the right place to activate them. And you can't quickly turn the water on and off if you want to. Once you have turned the water on it takes a few seconds before you can turn the water off. And it requires an extra movement that you wouldn't normally make to wave your hand under the faucet. With this Delta, you just touch the water control handle or touch the faucet anywhere and the water comes on. It's much more elegant in operation. And they don't have a light to indicate the water temperature.I have raised my rating to 5 stars.Original review:There are two things to talk about with this faucet:1) Touch operation - The touch operation woks as you would expect. Comes on when you touch it and turns off when you touch it again. However, there is a big annoyance with this. If you want to move the spout the water will shut off every time. Also, the water control lever also turns the water on and off so if you want to adjust the temperature or flow rate while the water is flowing, you will shut the faucet off. Then you have to turn it back on. Want to adjust it again? You're going to turn the water off again. I hate this. A lot.The water control handle should be deactivated so that touching it doesn't turn the water on or off. Or at the very least the touch control should not turn the water off when the faucet is on. This is stupid design. For this reason I would advise you to get a no-touch model made by other manufacturers. With these models you wave your hand in a certain area and that turns the water on and off. Touching the faucet or water control doesn't do anything. This is MUCH better.Right now this is the only voice activated faucet but Kohler is coming out with an Alexa enabled faucet soon (called Kohler Konnect) I don't know if that is a touch or no-touch faucet; if it is no-touch then I would DEFINITELY get that over this.2) Alexa operation - This is really cool and I like it. The critique I have is that it doesn't understand fractions. You can't say "pour a half cup" you have to say "pour four ounces". Delta can easily do something about this. The other annoying thing is you have to prefix everything with "Alexa, ask Delta to..." and I'm thinking there is a way for Delta to fix this as well. I don't have to jump through that hoop for other Alexa enabled devices I have. These things aren't deal breakers and it's possible the coming Kohler faucet will have the same issues. In summation, a touch operated faucet sounds like a good idea in theory. It works exactly as you would expect which isn't such a good thing. I'd like to make adjustments to temperature, flow rate and position without turning the faucet on/off every darn time I touch it. For this reason a no-touch faucet is far superior in my opinion. So based on my experience I would give this three stars. But to be fair, it works exactly as advertised so I can't deduct a star because I just don't like it. Just know what you are getting into before you buy this.Good product overall, was easy to install but we used a professional. Touch is very sensitive, looks elegant. Try to get it installed wired if possibleGood high-quality faucet. We are picky people and are happy with this. Only small gripe is the handle becomes loose because of a screw-type mechanism that screws right into a hard metal knob. Because these are two hard metals with a coarse screw thread it tends to come loose over time.To fix loose handle pull off logo near handle, unscrew, pop off cap, add something semi-hard between the end of the screw and the metal knob it presses into. I suggest a small piece of hard rubber or something. Then put it back together. To match, we wanted a black kitchen faucet that was stylish and functional. I did a considerable amount of research as there are dozens of different makes and models with a lot of good reviews. We went with the Delta Trinsic because of the good reviews and the looks (which we preferred). We’ve been using it for about 2 months and it works great. It’s very well constructed and the faucet head quickly snaps back into place after use. The spay function is a narrow stream compared to our previous unit but nothing that affects the performance (it’s just different). We are very happy with the product and look forward to many years of use.Quality faucet. Looks nice. Smooth. Solid. No leaks. Easy installEdit: I've discovered a problem with the valve. I wasn't able to get high temperature hot water that I had available in my other sinks. I thought it was just my water temperature, but realized the valve wasn't able to stop cold mixing completely when turned to the maximum hot position. In order to get soley hot water (high temperature) I have to crank down the handle a couple times back and forth pushing down with some pressure. This is not something I want to do or should need to do; it will likely lead to damage of the valve/handle. Will see what Delta has to say...Je suis très satisfait.
