Great idea to lock up your stuff but if you don't have willpower to not to break it then it's not worth it. Too easy to break the base with a hammer so I wouldn't recommend buying it.The base can easily be broken if you really want to. I've had to replace the base 3 times. I found that you would have to reinforce it. I had to completely cover and wrap it up with lots and lots of gorilla tape. Wrap the inside too. Almost like a ridiculous cocoon ball. This is the only way I found to make it hard to break into. I'm sure there's other ways to reinforce it. But it has to be reinforced. Breaks too easily, and I think they made it flimsy on purpose so people would keep buying replacement bases. So you have to reinforce the base.Dropped my first mini safe on the floor and it unfortunately left a huge crack in it. Was very happy to know that the replacment didn't cost me an arm and a leg like most of these safes usually do.Got this delivered Sunday and had intended to put my weed in there during the week so I don't blaze after work.Well, put my bud in there Sunday night and by Monday evening the gosh darn thing fell on a hammer that was on the floor and broke. Shattered into a hundred pieces. Can't believe this thing isn't hammer proof.This is the SECOND one of these I bought that can't stand up to a hammer. I had hoped the first one was a fluke. Safe to say I will not be buying a third one.Other than that it's fine.they say they sell these are for food, but im guessing most people use them for pharmaceuticals. in which case, they would really be doing the community a service by selling an aluminum receptical that is less prone to being broken with a hammer to get to the goodies inside. GREAT concept though and i love it.Got it down off a shelf and dropped it. When I picked it up it split into two pieces. I don't know I guess it had a defect in the plastic because it seems like the plastic is plenty thick and shouldn't break like it did. Naturally this happened after the 30 day return period so I'm just outta luck. If you buy one I suggest that you drop it a couple of times before the return period is up, make sure the same thing don't happen to you.Excellent product, but like many others have mentioned, a metal/indestructible version would be awesome. Granted, it would lead to less replacement sales so I don’t think we’d ever see one, but it would be cool! All told, the only flaw I’ve found in this is that it can be broken, which is on us as customersI have 3 of these in different sizes. I LOOOOOVE them. They're exactly as advertised. I have a... ahem... cookie problem. This kitchen safe keeps me from burning through the whole bag of cookies or chips. Once I lock it up - it takes the stress of willpower off me. Surprising how easy it is to NOT crave something when you know you can't have it. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could!okSo nice with more space, would definitely recommend itI have replaced my kitchen safe base at least 15 times and have had to repurchase entire units (anyone want to buy JUST the lid from me?) 4 times when the base itself was on back order. The base (clear or opaque) can be broken with a one girly swing of a hammer. So you still need to have major self control (or no access to a hammer or an ax handle or anything as strong as either). The concept is fantastic, but unless you've got a safe on your property that is big enough to hold the kitchen safe and is only able to be accessed by someone you trust (but who will also say "no" to you) the concept fails with one really desperate moment.Musste ich leider gleich wieder zurückschicken da sich die Deckel-Einheit beim automatischen öffnen immer verhakt hat und ich den Deckel nur schwer abnehmen konnte..Ottimo prodotto, costo nella norma e spedizione abbastanza veloce!Bella base di ricambio per il Kitchen Safe in caso di rottura della precedente!
