The electronic part is powered by alkaline AA cells (included) and requires no wiring. We had it installed, and our plumber felt that his flat rate for kitchen faucets was appropriate, which means that there is no particular difficulty in installing this faucet. It looks great, works great, and replaces an older discontinued Delta one-hole-installation single-handle pull-down kitchen faucet with no adapters or modifications to our sink or counter top.The "RB" in the part number refers to the finish, "rubbed bronze." The "rubbed bronze" is a baked-on enamel finish that appears durable, and has a special guarantee for durability. It's quite dark, not a matte gold brass finish. The "DST" refers to the "Cassidy" style line of faucets and accessories.
