Ordered these for my kitchen sink after seeing them in use at my sister-in-law's house. I had bought 2 others at a hardware store and was so disappointed when they did not do the job of catching all the "junk/garbage that ends up in the sink when rinsing plates/pots/pans (rims were too thick and trapped garbage under instead of in!) These work perfectly! The rim is thin enough to allow small debris to slide right into the recepticle. It's easy to dispose of the junk that they catch and easy to clean. Love them!Attractive easy to use and clean out. I chose this because it has a fine grating to strain even small particles keeping drains clean from clogging materials. The mesh is very sturdy so should last a long time. It is deep enough and wide enough to collect a lot and still allow water to drain rapidly. It fits perfectly into sink drain where a previous strainer with rubber plug existed to be able to fill sink with water. I have saved that old strainer plug for rare times I want to still fill the sink with water. I have an automatic dishwasher which I use regularly instead of filling sink with water.These are working well for me. One of the lips on one of the strainers seemed to be slightly not flat and wouldn’t sit against my drain flush. Can’t explain how it wasn’t sitting right it just wasn’t. A few minutes bending the lip (which wasn’t particularly easy, so the hardiness of the item is good) and it sat flush. Captures so much more stuff then the strainers with the small holes that allow larger debris through. I don’t have a garbage disposal so these have out peace of mind that my plumbing will not get clogged.Fits perfectly in the kitchen sink drains. It keeps all the solids from going down the drain. It's small enough to catch even small pieces and big enough it doesn't affect the flow.The drain is a bit shallow for my liking. The weight of ring helps the drain stay down which I like. Fits nicely to my kitchen sink.I have never used a sink strainer as excellent as this one -- it even catches coffee grounds!We moved into a house with a septic system and no garbage disposal. We were trying to reduce the amount of food particles going into the septic tank.
