This faucet is just what I needed -- #1. If you look at the height of similar shaped faucets, some of them are16" high which overwhelms smaller kitchens with less counter space, this one is 14 1/2" tall. #2.I love the modern, clean look and simplicity, less parts, less to go wrong.I asked a lot of questions before installation. Answers: Yes, It can be installed directly onto stainless steel drop in sink without afoot plate or, as advertised, on a counter deck. Out of the box, the head just hung down from faucet and would not stay clicked in. Then I realized that the small black weight provided holds down the tubing under sink and keeps the faucet in place. More review to come when it has stood the test of time. Signed...not-a-plumberUpdate, 7 mos later: still live this faucet, good example of form & function. Modern, sleek and the different spray options serve all my needs.
