I ordered this two-piece tool for the rind peeler. I already have a very similar cheese slicer, and like that one, this one works well as a cheese slicer. The real gem is the rind peeler. We eat a lot of brie and camembert cheese, and it's always a struggle to remove the rind without accidentally cutting off some of the cheese (I know some people enjoy eating the rinds of bloomy cheeses, but I am not one of them).The rind peeler is like a surgical tool, able to slice off the thinnest of rinds without cutting into the cheese. With a little more pressure, the peeler can remove thicker rinds as well. I used to dread having to deal with the rind before eating a nice camembert, but this rind slicer makes the job quick and easy. I also like the fact that the peeler can nestle inside of the slicer, taking up less room in a kitchen drawer.I wish I had found this rind peeler a long time ago and saved myself a lot of headaches. You will not regret this purchase. Finally, this company has great customer service. My initial order never arrived, but when I contacted Customer Service, they overnighted me another one.Very convenient as a corer and also a knifeGiven as a gift; however, it took me a while to convince myself that the recipient would love it as much as I would. The only reason I didn't keep it for myself is because I intended it as a gift for someone who could truly benefit from the timer function, what with little ones running underfoot and being sidetracked because of them.this is the best vegetable peeler i have ever had. very easy to use, clean up and comfortable in your hand.Peeling veg.I ordered this product for the holder portion but the peeler is absolutely fabulous! It is very sharp and requires less strokes than any other peeler I've used. The holder allows for less risk of cutting yourself or letting your fruit or vegetable slip out of your hand. This is a must have if you cook or juice a lot.Having the tongs in the handle is not necessarily a good thing. If you hold it wrong they pop out. I was looking for a white turner and they are hard to find.This peeler is really great!!I like this and the idea behind it. I like the feel and finish. The only quip I would say is that the discs can fall out during use, so be careful to handle them or take them out with care. But, because of this the handle also feels a little large to hold!Haven't used for long, but the tongs are a nice feature. Only downside, and reason for a three star rating is is the ergonomics due to the tongs... Feels a little awkward.
