I'm about 3 months out so in with taking collagen. My dear friend of 40 years looks (and feels) better than ever. She suggested I try taking collagen supplements. She told me her favorite brand and I bought it. And I liked it! But, it is very expensive. Hence, in my effort to save money I tried this brand.I can't tell a big difference in how I feel, but every morning I kinda dread scooping out the powder.It always creates a dust cloud. I DO NOT shake the canister. I slowly & gently move the scoop through the powder. I DO NOT shake the scoop to level it off.And it still forms a dust cloud.I've learn to hold my breath. And then I lower the 2 scoops as deep as possible into my blend and pour the powder slowly & gently.POUF! Here's comes the dust cloud...The 'other' brand does form these clouds. It is just as fine textured as this one.Maybe in the processing there needs to be more sifting?Anyway, I'm finishing this canister because I refuse to waste. Besides, it will become a great storage jar for my dates & figs! #reuse #reduce #recycleI've already purchased the original brand so it will be on hand as soon as I finish this one...I try to integrate this daily, when I can remember to, into my coffee or drink. It does have a weird after taste so mix it with something strong! I’ve found hot drinks make it dissolve much better than cold. If you’re using a shaker, try to lean towards room temperature liquids to avoid mucus like clumps that ABSOLUTELY will be the product of you try to mix with cold liquids. Other than that, it works wonders for you hair and skin!Been wanting to try a flavorless collegian to help out with my skin but it’s kind of expensive no matter the brand until I saw this brand & EBT actually covered the cost!?Its got a mild earthy “barn yard” smell & an extremely mild taste. It mixes completely well with cold water but it does get a little gloppy when mixed with say, coconut water. Probably due to other ingredients in coconut water & juice. I tried it the 3rd day with powdered spirulina & powdered greens & it mixed cleanly except a little glob in the bottom but more cold water fixed that. It feels in a strange way, refreshing & eye opening to drink it!Update 9/7: So you see Jennifer Aniston mixing her brand of collagen into her coffee for the commercial…. ?‍? I tried it because of seeing her do it, I don’t recommend it! It’s funky. Too escaping their own.First is first.....you will be disappointed when you open it and it is a little bit above the halfway mark! There us also no scooper. I put the powder in water to test out how well it would dissolve. Few shakes and tasted nothing!!This ended up being about what I expected. I wasn’t able to master mixing it into cold…even dissolving it into hot is a little sticky still but it works. I just mainly put it into my herbal tea. I brew how water from my keurig right over it then steep my tea bag. This has been working well for about a month. What I notice most is my hip pain is significantly diminished! As for taste, I can tell something is there but it’s very very subtle. Not really even an actual taste. I enjoyed!!!I like to crochet and had terrible pain in my hand joints and fingers. I also have right shoulder pain.Collagen was recommended to me by my mom.(She has another brand) I bought this brand since it was the most affordable for me to try out. Well this is day 14 taking it straight and I have no more pain in my hand joints and fingers and the shoulder pain is now mild. I can tolerate it without pain meds. Also my hair was thinning from the sides of my head and now looks normal ,can't see my scalp anymore. By the way my nails got thick and strong. Used to be flimsy and "scaley ". The only thing I did not like about this product is that it definitely tastes with cold drinks, or smoothies. Can't dissolve correctly in cold drinks either. For that reason I will not be buying this product again.it smells ok and i ordered in the summer when its hot (80 degrees) , must be hotter in the shipping truck. It has worked for my nails so far I've noticed because I've just cut then and I don't usually need to cut them this soon. I hope it will make my skin more elastic because I get stretch marks really easy and resently from weight lifting. Also hair has not fallen out so much which is great news.I use thin in my protein shake or coffee. I was surprised how strong the after taste is, but if you are also using it in a shake, strong flavors cover it well. I feel like my joints move better, and my skin has a nice glow. My nails and hair are growing well, strong and fast. So I think this is helping a lot. I can't hold them responsible for the taste. It's unflavored, not flavorless.
