I looked for this and couldn't find it in any local stores. Amazon to the rescueIt is very easy to use and much to my surprise, I really liked the flavorI suppose when the bottle is 3 inches tall, putting the recipe on it becomes difficult.Nice flavorI opened one jar and found it was discolored on the top, darker than the rest, I see others had the same issue, it has to be that the seal was broken and oxygen did what it does.Anyway, I opened the second jar and it was fine, so undecided about how I wanted to use it I settled on chicken fried rice (two cups worth) and made my fried rice with all the usual ingredients at the end I added in two tablespoons of Peanut Satay Sauce, turned out good, but rather bland, So I tried again but added peanut and sesame oils, that made the difference, was much, much better. As for the Peanut Satay Sauce itself....won't be repurchasing it, to weak as far as flavor goes, and definitely don't think it's worth using as a dip.Kind of sweet, and not spicy at all. Still added the depth of flavor I was looking for in my curry.I reccomend buying the larger version though. I made curry with this twice and barely have enough for one more pot.Great product that I've bought for years, and I've demonstrated that I can't make decent Thai peanut anything without it. It's mild and a little sweet, much easier to add to and spice up to taste than others I've tried.ROTTEN packing job when fulfilled by Amazon this order.See picture....- - THIS IS NOT HOW YOU HAVE ANYONE PACK GLASS JARS. - -I've ordered this peanut sauce before, and the jars came snugly packed and wrapped in bubble wrap. Today, I picked up the box and heard a glassy clink. Bad sign.I opened it up to find the interior stained by leaked peanut sauce,l. The jars were rolling around loose on their sides, with next to no attempt made to pad them, and no individual protection at all. METAL lids were deeply dented, freshness seals damaged, at least 2 GLASS jars unsealed and leaking (at that point I didn't want to be touching that mess anymore). If this was a rush job, then the rush is at fault, because there's no way anyone with 5 seconds to think about it decided this would work out okay. RIP jars, replacement processing.Going to be stuck on this foreverCouldn’t find it at any nearby stores. Needed it for a recipe. It was leaking a little when I got it.This is a delicious additive to chili con Carne, stir-fries, pasta dishes, etc.I have purchased it online a number of times since I couldn't find it locally for quite a while.Until the last shipment when I purchased it online, the packaging was always very good.In this most recent shipment, the contents had gotten out of the bottles and into the bubble wrap, then into the box.I will examine the contents and the containers carefully.I am hoping I can use the contents as the product is one of the best "taste" additives I have ever come across! For the bottle size and flavour profile you have to use way too much.I started a recipe that used 1 can of coco milk. I tried tbsp of this paste and could barely taste it. 2 tbsp there is some flavour. 3 tbsp I get flavour now but no spice.I will seek out another product.Disappointed. Doesn't have the heat as expected and quite sweet tasting. Needed to add half the jar to a crack slaw I was making and it still wasn't spicy enough. Had to compensate with another hot sauce and a pinch of hot pepper flakes. Very high carb if you are watching your carb count (due to thr sugar content).Good flavour, but it is rather mild and tomato taste is more prevalent. I used a whole jar for 1 small pot of curry and added fresh chopped chilies to make it spicy. Good for a milder palate. I prefer more authentic Thai curry pastes. After years of making my own I thought to give this paste a try. It is sort of OK. Bland tasting, not the intensity or depth of flavour of home made. It’ll do in a pinch, but be prepared to use the entire jar.
