Here we are in the 14th season!!! It is amazing how many shows Gordon Ramsay has had on Fox and BBC. Hell's Kitchen is going to be a great season this year. They seemed to have increased the number of Celebrities for those who enjoy seeing some of your favorite actors, singers, and other form of the arts appearing. They started off with 18 contestants instead of 20 this season. Which I think is good. You have the age group from 22 years of age up to 38 years of age. This always tells me how far I can narrow it down to start the season. Historically, you have never had anyone over 32 has ever won. So anyone in their 30's you can just about rule out. Ramsay will be looking for someone in their 20's so they have time to learn and the investment in the chef will pay off.Contestants as always are very colorful, the food is still some of the same, and some new dishes again. That seems to be a theme each season now, where they change the look of the restaurant, and they have been adding new dishes as well. There will be a lot of new stunts, tricks, and more of Gordon's personality showing which is very apparent if you have watched earlier seasons. Yes you will still get the colorful language, yelling and screaming, but You also see much more of Gordon's personality as he jokes around a bit, and does not seem to quite as harsh. But that could just be me.I like to start making my picks early. lol But I wont spoil it for anyone, and just let you watch and make your picks each week. If you like or love this show, then you cant miss it. This show easily can go another 6 seasons, the ratings are wonderful for a reason. There have been other reviews over the years that have said that it seems that the best two chefs "almost" always make it, but I am not sure I always agree with the winner being chosen. There have many many season where I just thought they picked the wrong person.Everything you ever loved about this show is still here in abundance. So if you have been watching all along, or just tuning in, you cant go wrong. There is a reason why Hell's Kitchen is on during prime time and on a major network. Gordon Ramsay and his show, is still by far the best cooking show on tv. It is not just about being a chef, he takes everyone through the paces of the entire business of running a restaurant through this boot camp style of teaching. It's a great way to see who can handle the pressure and who cant. If they cant handle this pressure of lack of sleep, running the line, taking orders, learning the dining room, customer service of waiting on tables, all the most important aspects of of the daily grind of running the business, then they will not endure a long career as an executive chef. It really is the best recipe to see who is cut out for this career. I say watch it and enjoy just as you always have, or if your just starting out. It's an amazing ride.
