This book is in no way "just another cookbook." This book is a Self-Help book, in disguise! If you have any issues with food at all, and your "relationship" to food; if you do one diet one day, and are on another diet the next; if you can't seem to decide on a "plan" for yourself; if you are healing from an eating disorder, have over-come an eating disorder, or know of someone struggling in their relationship with food - THIS is the book you must read. You could just skip to the wonderful, clear healthy, delicious recipes and that would be great. The recipes are AWESOME!! But, the real "meat" of the book, is reading about Colleen's life experiences and how those shaped and influenced her relationship with food, how she felt about her body, and how she over-came a serious eating-disorder. This book will have you doing some very deep reflection on your Self, and on your Self-Care and ... on what you decide to eat, what is best for You, what do You want. Chances are you want to be healthy, energetic and Glowing!! And not tired, over-weight, dehydrated or run down. This book is a "shoulder to cry" on, and then you get up, make a beautiful soup or super wonderful HEALTHY cookies... and you feel great! Again, this book is DEEP. It's NOT "just another cookbook." It's about YOU. What do YOU want to eat? How do YOU want it to taste? Extra chewy? More crisp? Vegan? Paleo? Vegetarian? Can't recommend it highly enough. :)
