If you own 'The Food of Thailand' by Lulu Grimes et al (published under both Bay Books and Whitecap imprints), don't buy this, since it seems to be a subset of that work, reformatted. Comparisons of several recipes found them to be essentially the same, while the index of this one was shorter. This book has nice paper and pictures, and is nicely formatted. Some of the recipes were tried, and the results were OK. (The Miang Kham recipe falls short, however.) The book implies that the recipes are Ms Grimes, but 'The Food of Thailand' credits the recipes to Oi Cheepchaiissara. Barnes & Nobles is selling this at $9.98 currently (June, 2010).
