Mine arrived today and I had to put it down long enough to come to my computer! It's really a great cookbook. There's a front section on helpful hints and how-to's and a back section on techniques. Every page has color photos either for the recipe or the tips. Each section, from soup to nuts, breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and everything in-between, has a couple of pages with a small "preview" of some of the recipes. There's a small 2x2inch picture of the recipe, a sentence description and the page number of the recipe. Even the recipes are easy to read and follow. Rather than leaving blank space on the page, the recipes are shared on a page and set up from top to bottom, which, in my opinion, is easy to read. This is a great book for the beginning cook or anyone like myself who loves colored photos in their cookbooks. At my age, I need a little more visual idea as to what to cook. While this book really can be your GO TO cookbook, it would be a GREAT gift, too.
