I'm happy to eat healthier, as long as the food tastes good. This cookbook has some recipes that are delicious! My favorite so far is the Feijoada (it took a bit of hunting to find all of the ingredients, especially the manioc flour, which I finally found at a Brazilian grocery), which was the best thing I'd cooked in at least a year. The Dal Curry was also great, as was the Charred Cauliflower (you can use a grill pan on the cooktop for this one, as an alternative to the oven or grill). The Brussels Sprouts Crumbs also came out great, hot and crispy. I'm really looking forward to trying the Sourdough Challah once my sourdough starter has developed. My son found it hilarious to run around the kitchen saying "I am Groat! I am Groat" when he saw the Kasha Mujadarra recipe. He has renamed the dish Guardians Grains, which is fine with me as long as he enjoys eating it (and he does!).Margarine has never been my favorite ingredient, so I was glad to see a Kosher cookbook that didn't rely on it. I was also happy to see so many baked dishes as opposed to frying - healthier, and keeps my kitchen easier to clean (bonus!)
